About Transbotics

Transbotics, a leader in the automatic guided vehicle industry, is committed to "Moving Your Business" using AGV and AGC System Technology. These systems can improve facility efficiency in production, receiving, shipping, and warehousing through proven, innovative guided vehicle solutions.

For over 25 years Transbotics Corporation has specialized in the design, development, installation and support of Automatic Guided Vehicles (AGVs), or transportation robots, including custom engineered to order material handling solutions.

Transbotics had its start in 1962 through Swedish engineers who also founded NDC  AB.  These engineers formed a company to provide Electronic Solutions for manufacturing environments and Naval controls for Ships and Submarines.  From these origins Transbotics' founders developed and installed the first automatic guided vehicle system for Volvo in 1972.  This AGV system set in motion the foundation for the current AGV market in Europe and the United States.  In 1972 NDC AB entered the US market under a subsidiary company, NDC Automation.  In 2001 NDC Automation changed its’ name to Transbotics to reflect the company’s roots as a transport robot technology provider.  Also, in 2001 Danaher Motion purchased NDC AB of Sweden.  Danaher Motion is a $1 Billion + global motion control systems leader and strategic partner of the Transbotics Corporation. This partnership and our years of research and development allows Transbotics to provide total material handling integration solutions to our customers.

Today we continue as a leading systems integrator of automated material handling solutions. We have dozens of vehicle designs that address all kinds of material handling needs from totes to steel coils.

In addition to Automatic Guided Vehicle Systems, we offer our clients simulations, engineerig studies, conveyor systems, automatic truck loading systems, integration software, training; maintenance services, Danaher controls, Schabmuller motors, scanners, encoders, batteries, spare parts and 24-hour emergency support.
